Finally, some real details about the next PlayStation console came, thanks to Mark Cerny, who revealed so much in an interview with The Wired. First of all, there will be no improved version of the PS4 console, but a brand new design, hardware and features that will have. Starting with the processor it will be AMD Ryzen with eight core 7Nm Zen 2 technology. As far as GPU is concerned, it's also AMD's device, but totally separate, based on NAVI technology, which means PS5 will support RayTracing and will further add to the graphics of games. This GPU will also support 8k resolution, but of course, it will support lower ones too. Another new thing is that AMD's sound chip will be inserted, and it delivers 3D audio support, which will further complement the enjoyment of games. As for the storage space, the HDD will be replaced by much faster SSDs, as explained in Interview Fast Travel's Spiderman game lasted only 0.8 seconds, while on PS4 it was even 15 seconds. As far as games are concerned there will be digital and psychical copies. It has also been noted that it will support backward compatibility with the PS4 console, so you can play PS4 games on the PS5, and if you have a VR set, it will also match the PS5. Overall, we definitely wont see the PlayStation 5 in 2019, but judging by the fact that game makers have already received PS5 devkits to be able to prepare games, it's likely that the PS5 will be released next year.
