After many years in which PSN users were limited in terms of nickname at this service, Sony announced the launch of a service testing that will allow the final change of the PSN nickname. In the first stage of beta testing, only users who are members of the PlayStation Preview program will be able to try this service. The first change to the PS ID will be free, and each subsequent $ 10 and $ 5 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Of course, for other users to recognize you, there will be an option to show old next to the new nickname.
Changing the nickname will be possible in games that came out after April 1, 2018, but of course at some popular titles than before. It has already been announced that there will be some problems with displaying a nickname on all PSN-enabled devices, so there will be a reset option for the original nickname. The testing lasts until the end of November, and it is assumed that other users will receive this option from the beginning of 2019.
