After almost 13 years (how many PSN exist), the option to change the nickname you set for the first time is finally enabled. A large number of users expressed a negative for years, as this was not possible. But finally, Sony decided to start from 11.04. is enabled for everyone, although the change has been in the beta phase so far, to check and fix possible problems. If you want to change the nickname, you can do this via PC, log in to your PSN account, or by using the console: Settings> Account Management> Account Information> Profile> Online ID. If you want to change, make sure you set nickname that you realy want this time, because for the first time it's free. Each subsequent change is charged about 10 € ,and 5 € for users who have a PS Plus subscription (prices may vary depending on the region). There is also a risk that some games will not recognize your new nickname and you will simply not be able to access anything you have achieved in this game so far. Luckily, these are some older titles (about 40 games), but if that happens, you can return to the previous nickname at any time.
What do you think of this change, and do you plan to change the nickname?
