Although it is still very difficult to find a PlayStation 5 console in our part of the world (at least at a normal price), Taiwanese DigiTimes magazine has made some claims - from reliable industrial sources, that chip and hardware manufacturers such as TSMC are preparing to produce new parts for the next version of the PS5 console and that production and assembly is planned for the second half of 2022.
For now, this is only the hardware part of the console, so the leaked information is related to the fact that the next version will use AMD processors based on 6nm technology, unlike the first version which uses 7nm processors. It is very likely that the new PS5 model will also have a slightly higher data storage capacity. For now, there are no indications that a redesign of the external part of the console is planned, but everyone hopes that the new PS5 model will be accompanied by a new version of the DualSense controller with reduced drift problems.
All in all, this has not been officially confirmed, but we believe that DigiTimes knows for sure.
